Benjamin Cobb first started working with glass as a teenager in his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island. Since then, he has attended the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology. While working on his BFA, he continued his education with multiple classes at The Studio in Corning, New York.
Benjamin was also a teaching assistant for Robin Cass at the Haystack Mountain School for Crafts in Maine, as well as at The Studio in Corning, New York. After graduating, Benjamin worked at a glass studio in California, before moving to Seattle, Washington. Currently he works at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington. He is a designer and a lead glassblower in the Museums' hot glass studio.
