"If I could only use two words to describe the concept behind my work, they would be 'opposites attract'. This happens intuitively and probably reflects much about me as a person. I like setting the different qualities of glass against each other: hard shine with matte texture, opacity with transparency. I don't keep a sketchbook, so when an idea surfaces, I go straight to the glass. Because I love spontaneity, my palette changes frequently. I make art the same way I cook: with a well-stocked kitchen and a sense of adventure, there are so many possibilities."
