IBEX Glass Studio was founded as a three-person partnership in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1985, and relocated to Washington State in 1993, under the direction of David Levi. All pieces dated and signed with the IBEX name are produced individually at the furnace, with tools and techniques which have remained essentially unchanged for hundreds of years. As a studio artist, David Levi enjoys a degree of flexibility unavailable in a larger factory, and this is reflected in the broad range and continually changing line of IBEX designs. IBEX Glass was recognized in an exhibit of nineteen crafts people in various media at the American Crafts Museum in New York City.

David Levi also produces sculptural one-of-a-kind pieces under his own name. These works are exhibited internationally and can be viewed at the Traver Gallery.
