Jennifer Elek is a glass artist who lives and works in Seattle, WA. She received her BFA from Alfred University in 1994 and has since been working in Seattle for artists such as Lino Tagliapietra, Dale Chihuly, Sonja Blomdahl, and Ginny Ruffner. For the past two years she has also worked at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma as a gaffer, designer and teacher. She has attended Pilchuck Glass School as a student and has also worked as a teacher's assistant. Her love of cooking and entertaining is what inspires her functional works in glass. These pieces contain hand made elements that are signature to Jennifer's design aesthetic.
