Julia Gombert learned to blow glass at ISOMATA in Idyllwild, CA. Inspired by her experiences making silver jewelry, she decided to combine her talents and create cast-glass silver earrings, rings and necklaces.
"I am fascinated by all things luminous; the relationship of opaque and transparent against metallic, the play of light in water. I am greatly inspired by Catalina Island at night, watching the backlight from the boats shine through the kelp forests."
