Paula Stokes
Paula Stokes was born and grew up in Ireland. In 1991, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in design, specializing in glass, from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Before moving to the U.S. in 1993, she spent a year studying at the International Glass Center in Brierley Hill, England.
Since moving to Seattle, Paula has worked with a number of established artists in the production of glass art: Flora Mace, Joey Kirkpatrick, Ann Welch and Dale Chihuly. She has been a regular glassblowing instructor at Pratt Fine Arts Center and the Edge of Glass in Seattle. Also, she has been a guest teacher at UrbanGlass in New York and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. She has participated in a number of group shows nationwide and in Ireland.
