Jette is married to installation artist Therman Statom a world renowned artist. She graduated from Designskolen Kolding specializing in ceramics. She since went on to study at the Collegio Ballardini, at the Institute of Tile and Architectural Ceramics in Faenza, Italy.
Vogt has recently created a series of flame work necklaces, where melting circles dangle from rigid coral shaped beads in an organic symbiotic relationship. She deliberately seeks to contrast the form and the colors in her works, Vogt's work is inspired by geometry and architecture where she explores lines and space.
Her artistic talents have been acknowledged with several awards including grants from the Danish Arts Foundation and the Danish National Bank's Jubilee Foundation of 1968. Jette Vogt has workshops in Denmark and in the United States.
