Dorie Guthrie graduated from Illinois State University in 2008. She has attended classes at Penland School of Craft, Corning and Pittsburgh Glass Center, awarded to her by scholarships. Dorie is going on her fifth year working at Pilchuck Glass School. Three of those years she has been a TA for kiln casting instructors. Pilchuck has invited her to Coordinate for the Emerging Artist in Residence and a Program Assistant. She will be a TA this summer at Pittsburgh Glass Center for flameworking. Dorie is a Demonstrator at Glass Art Society, Toledo, OH and currently working at Brazee Street Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio.
