Professional Experience
1993-present
Small Planet Glass Studio, Portland, OR. Owns and operates studio, now exclusively producing commission and gallery work in kiln formed vessels, panels and castings.
1995-2000
Bullseye Glass Company, Portland, OR. Involved in the many aspects of production art glass, and the business of glass art. Helped build and operate the Frit department. Tested the glass for compatibility and color through the Quality Control and Research and the Education departments. During this time was both directly and indirectly involved with many international glass artists.
1986-90
Feather River Wood and Glass Company. Designed and built leaded glass architectural panels for doors, windows and skylights. Victorian design and restoration for San Francisco bay area buildings.
1983-88
Apprenticed under glass artist Geno Cueno. Techniques involved architectural stained glass panels, sand carving in glass, beveling, wheel cutting, painting and cold working. Learned period reproduction and restoration, panel design and layout. |
